Algebra I Recipe: Adding and Subtracting Matrices

1. It’s a rectangular arrangement of numbers into rows and columns.
2. The name and size of a matrix are stated by the number of rows first and the number of columns second, read rows by columns.
3. A matrix is also named by using a capital letter.

3. Only matrices having the same size can be added and subtracted.
4. To add and subtract matrices, add and subtract the numbers in the same position.
